About our products and instructor

Kelly Peterson, Owner of Layers of Color, teaches all levels of decorative painting techniques and finishes.  All classes incorporate different mediums created by Modern Masters Inc. individually, or in conjunction with other products.  Such products include No VOC basecoats, Platinum Series Glazes, Metallic Paints, Metallic Plasters, lime based Bellezza Italian Plasters and Japanese line of beautiful textural plasters.  All products are low and no VOC creating fabulous finishes that are environmentally friendly.  Both the retail line and the Platinum Series line of products are included in our cirriculi and available for purchase.

Modern Masters Platinum Training Center

Our design studio offers educational and hands on classes for all types of wall, cabinetry and furniture finishes.  Our cirriculum is written and taught to all levels of interested finishers from the do-it-your selfer to the professional level decorative finisher.  The cirriculum for all these unique and beautiful finishes are created by Kelly S.
